Huraa Island

Huraa is a tiny pearl island with a small population of 1,014 people in Kaafu Atoll of Maldives, this un-spoilt beautiful local island is located approximately 21.20 km (13.17 mi) away from the capital city just about 0.300 km (0.186 mi) wide and 0.850 km (0.528 mi) in length you can take a tour of the whole island in one hour, yet Huraa is one of the most richest Island in Maldivian history.

Huraa Dynasty was the sixth royal dynasty to rule over the Maldives and it was the last dynasty of the Maldives. Historical evidence reveal that it was the son of a French man called 'Louise' and a Maldivian woman from Hura.

Hura Dhomarudhuru is the grandfather of the first King of the Hura Dynasty, who was Ah'Sultanul Ghaazee Hassan Izzudhdhin (first) Siri Kularanmeeba Kaththiri Bavana Mahaaradhun (Dhonbandaarain). He was our National Hero who saved us from the rule of Malabars.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 – Arrival

​

  • Meet and Greet at Velana International Airport

  • Huraa Island – the little pearl island of Maldives, White Sandy beaches covered with lush vegetation and surrounded by clear blue/green waters and lively coral reefs.

  • Upon arrival you will be taken to your accommodation “Pearl Sands”  for check-in.

  • Get a snack from their restaurant and relax/settle in.

 

DAY 2 – Huraa Island Ultimate Tour

  • Enjoy Breakfast at the hotels fine cuisine restaurant

  • After breakfast you will be met by a local representative/tour guide and given a tour of the Island on their shuttle buggy (The Shuttle will leave at exactly 10:00 am)

  • Back at hotel for Lunch.

  • Relax on the beach and take a plunge in a soothing Maldivian waters and go Snorkeling and experience the divine underwater life our local Islands have in offer for you.

  • Back to accommodation and rest.

  • Dinner at Fusion

 

DAY 3 – A whole day of Island Hopping and Picnic Lunch

  • Enjoy Breakfast at the hotel Restaurant.

  • After breakfast you will be met by their local representative/tour guide. This is truly an ultimate tour for everyone, a whole day trip which provides a variety of experience. This tour is comprised visiting to a sandbank for snorkeling picnic lunch on the beach and afterwards visiting other local islands nearby Huraa (Himmafushi or Thulusdhoo).

  • Back to accommodation and rest.

  • Dinner at Fusion

 

DAY 4 – Departure

  • Enjoy Breakfast at the hotel Restaurant

  • Check out at the hotel and head back to the capital city

  • You will be met by a local representative/tour guide at Male’ who will take you on an capital city tour 

  • After the tour the guide will take you to Lunch given your preferences (please do note that the lunch is not included in the above given package price)

  • Transfer to Velana International Airport
