Dhangethi is a Southern Local island Located in Alif Dhaal Atoll of Maldives. Total Population of Dhangethi is 1200 People, but only less than 500 people live in the island. Most of the People have moved to Capital city of Maldives (Male’ city) for Education and better job opportunities.
Tourism and Fishing are the highest money generating activities on the island. Other money-making activities include lodging, handicraft, carpentry and boat building. Currently there are 8 grocery shops, 4 Restaurants, and 12 souvenir shops in Different areas of the island.
Dhangethi Island is the place with amazing atmosphere and where you can experience the traditional activities, explore the Maldivian culture and relax on the white sandy beaches with sun lights and crystal clear lagoon. Jump into the stunning underwater realm that gives you infinite opportunities to set your eyes on the luminary coral reef metropolis, vibrant with nautical life. South Ari Atoll is home to the best diving in the Maldives and we present an excellent jumping-off spot for trying to uncover everything that’s on your Maldives wish list. Dhangethi Corner has a very fascinating coral peninsula that starts at 12 meters sloping down to the channel opening at 25 meters and Schools of bat fish and clouds of fusiliers, turtles, napoleons and white tip reef sharks have all been spotted here. Guests will have diving experts guiding them throughout the voyage.
